Cristiano Ronaldo extends contact with Real Madrid until 2021

Xinhua, November 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Real Madrid on Sunday confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until the end of June 2021.

The 31-year-old will officially sign the new deal, which will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until he is 36 years old, at Real Madrid's ground on Monday lunchtime.

The new contract extends his stay for a further three seasons as his previous contact due to expire in June 2018.

His deal means that Real Madrid have assured the future of almost all of their key players in recent weeks and comes on the back of contracts signed by Tony Kroos, Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Gareth Bale, whose new deal was confirmed by Madrid a week ago.

The news comes a matter of hours after Madrid's 3-0 win over Leganes, which means they will go into the international break as leaders of the Liga Santander. Endit
