Goulart claims Golden Ball at China's Super League Gala

Guangzhou Evergrande became the biggest winner in the Chinese Super League Gala here on Saturday, sweeping most of major awards.

Brazilian striker Ricardo Goulart, who had 19 goals and eight assists to help Evergrande win the 2016 league title, claimed the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards, while his coach and compatriot Luiz Felipe Scolari was voted the coach of the season.

Evergrande's Zeng Cheng won the best goalkeeper award.

Shanghai SIPG's Wu Lei, who scored 14 goals this season, was named the best local player for the fourth straight time. Endit
