Liaoning claim third straight CBA win

Last season's runners-up Liaoning keep an unbeaten record after beating Guangzhou 101-95 in the third round of the 2016-2017 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Liaoning led from the start with Lester Hudson and Shavlik Randolph combining for 51 points and 26 rebounds.

Hudson earned a team-high 30 points, while his teammate Han Dejun had 21 points and 18 rebounds.

CBA giants Guangdong welcomed their first win in three matches as they crushed Jilin 99-77 without Yi Jianlian who was recently waived by the Los Angeles Lakers. Donald Sloan of Guangdong took a game-high 23 points.

In the other games, Shanxi upset Shenzhen 119-107, Tianjin beat Shandong 123-122, Jiangsu lost to Shanghai 79-86, Beijing defeated Bayi 99-87, Fujian downed Tongxi 115-113, Qingdao nipped Beikong 111-110, Zhejiang hammered Sichuan 107-89, Xinjiang beat Guangsha 118-113. Endit
