Singapore stocks close 0.47 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 13.28 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 2,788.80.

A total of 1.50 billion shares changed hands with turnover 1.10 billion Singapore dollars (795.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 224 to 160, while 516 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 5.06 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 2,802.08 on Thursday. Endit
