CPPCC concludes study of key CPC meeting

China's top political advisory body on Tuesday wrapped up a two-day meeting studying the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held last week.

Members of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee hailed the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee as a milestone in strengthening the Party and socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The attendees said learning and implementing the spirit of the session was a major political task of the CPPCC, and the task should be fulfilled through its daily work.

The addition and dismissal of several CPPCC National Committee memberships were also approved during the meeting.

Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng attended the meeting, chairing Tuesday's closing session.

Wang Qishan, secretary of the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, was invited to attend and speak at the opening session on Monday. Endi
