The Moroccan King Mohammed VI reaffirmed on Monday his country's strong determination to reinforce strategic partnership with Spain.

He said so in a congratulatory message to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy over winning a parliament confidence vote for a second term serving as prime minister.

The king underlined his resolve to continue coordination and cooperation between the two countries in issues of shared interest, and vowed adherence to international efforts seeking peaceful settlement of regional conflicts.

He also praised the solid ties of friendship, shared esteem and neighborliness between Morocco and Spain, and hailed Rajoy's efforts in achieving progress and prosperity for Spain.

Bilateral relations have witnessed a significant growth between the two countries. Spain has become Morocco's first trade partner ahead of France since 2012. Endit
