Alexey Lutsenko of Astana dominates Tour of Hainan 2016

Kazakh rider Alexey Lutsenko becomes the champion in Tour of Hainan 2016 after the ride on Sunday, and the winner of the last stage goes to Max Walscheid of Team Giant - Alpecin.

The 9th stage, ought to stretched from Qiongzhong to Wanning, covering a total distance of 145.5 kilometers, temporarily changed to the circuit race in Waning, covering 88.3 kilometers as the first stage because of the heavy rain in Qiongzhong.

Despite the bad weather, the tournament still went ahead for all riders. But the shorten schedule made the title lost its suspense. The solid performance let Lutsenko smoothly win the title of this event after the stage, while Max Walscheid who wins the green jersey, picking up his fifth stage champion on the final stage.

Alexey Lutsenko also wins the blue jersey representing the best Asian rider, and Chinese rider Ma Guangtong of Wistom - Hengxiang Cycling Team proved to be the mountain king in Tour of Hainan 2016.

"Although the weather is not very good, I am still very happy to win the title by the help of my teammates. After winning the championship, I want to be a better rider." Lutsenko said.

This year' s Tour of Hainan has lasted 9 days, covering a total of 1507.9 kilometers, with total price money of 350,000 dollars. Endit
