1st LD: Rajoy wins investiture vote to become Spanish PM

Mariano Rajoy won the investiture vote to become Spain's prime minister on Saturday.

The result of the vote was 170 votes in favor, 68 abstentions and 111 against.

The investiture vote gathered 349 people out of 350 at the Spanish congress of deputies. Members of the People's Party voted in favor, those of centre-right Ciudadanos also voted in favor along with Coalicion Canaria.

68 members of the Socialist party abstained in order to ease the investiture. Endit
