World No. 1 Mark Selby saw off World No. 2 Stuart Bingham 9-3 to set up a clash with Ding Junhui in the final of 2016 World Snooker International Championship held in Daqing, China here on Saturday.
The World No. 2 started the first session of the best-of-17 semifinal 2-0 with a 58 and a 127-point-break. However, the only highlight of him for the rest of the afternoon is the 101-point century break in the sixth frame before Mark Selby took the lead 5-3.
The World Championship winner of 2016 dominated all four frames of the night session to be the second finalist of the tournament.
The 9-3 victory secured his second final with Ding Junhui this season right after the Shanghai Masters, not to mention their clash in the World Championship final this May.
"Eh...beaten by Mark Selby, the World No. 1 and the world champion. He had been playing unbelievably all day. Every shot I was under pressure. Even the easy safety shots." said Bingham at the press conference.
"It' s always nice to play Ding in any tournament especially finals twice a season, once in Shanghai, now in Daqing. I look forward to it." said Selby, " Of course I want to win tomorrow but the main thing is just you go there and do your best, that' s all I can do. If my best is good enough, great. If not, I' ll just go back practicing on the table until next tournament." Endit
