Train crashes into car, killing 4 in Vietnam

A train collided with a car here on Monday morning, killing four people instantly, and seriously injuring three others.

The train on the way to Hanoi capital city from northern Ha Nam province crashed into the car when the car was crossing the railway on former National Road 1A in rural Thuong Tin district, local police said.

The collision caused casualties in the car and heavily damaged it.

Vietnam registered 15,411 traffic accidents in the first nine months of this year, leaving 6,440 people dead and 13,473 others injured, the country's Traffic Police Department said. Endit
