--ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu has made a shocking proposal that all of the party's top leaders should step down for failing the prosecuted finance minister Pravin Gordhan, as the state looks set to continue with the case against him.

Two highly placed sources said the National Prosecutions Authority (NPA) has assured Hawks head Berning Ntlemeza that it would not back down on the decision to charge Gordhan.(City Press).

--Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane has vowed to fight to the bitter end to ensure that the State Capture report is made public.
