Chad, World Bank sign 11.5 mln USD financing agreements

Chad and the World Bank have signed three financing agreements totaling more than 11 million U.S. dollars, according to a government statement released Thursday.

The first agreement, worth 1.5 million dollars, is contributing to the financing of a fourth generation survey on living conditions of Chadian households.

The other two, totaling 10 million U.S. dollars, intended to finance the project "social safety nets", said the statement.

These agreements were signed on the sidelines of the recent annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, it said. Endit
