China's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met with economic experts at Tsinghua University on Thursday, calling on them to offer more advice on China's economic development.

While meeting with members of the advisory board of Tsinghua University's school of economics and management, Yu spoke highly of the contribution made by the board for both Tsinghua University and China's development.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, called on members to continue to enhance economic management teaching in the university, and offer more advice on China's economic development and its integration with the world economy.

Yu said China will steadily deepen reform, pursue an innovation-driven development strategy, advance green development, promote equity and sharing of development outcomes, as well as open up more to the outside world.

The advisors, including David Rubenstein, chairman of the advisory board and CEO of the Carlyle Group, said China is of great attraction to the world. The board will continue to encourage understanding between China and the world.

The advisory board was founded in 2000 and consists of professors from foreign universities and CEOs from multinationals. Endi
