Cambodian PM to pay last respects to late Thai king

Xinhua, October 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will lead a delegation to Thailand on Saturday to pay last respects to late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

The prime minister's entourage will include Defense Minister Gen. Tea Banh and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn as well as other members of the government, the ministry said in a statement.

Bhumibol Adulyadej, who was Thailand's most revered king and the longest-reigning monarch in the world, died on Oct. 13 at the age of 88 after a long illness.

On Tuesday, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath paid homage to King Bhumibol at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh. Enditem
