Russia completes military network for classified data exchange

Xinhua, October 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Russian armed forces have completed the development of a military network for classified data exchange, the Russian newspaper Izvestia reported Wednesday.

"The military network is not connected to the global Internet, and all the computers connected to it are protected from any uncertified flash drives and external hard drives," it said.

The network also includes an e-mail service that allows transfer of classified information, including documents with a "Classified" label, said the newspaper.

All work had been completed at the end of the summer 2016, and the network is now in full operation. Endi
