British FTSE 100 rises 0.76 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.76 percent, or 52.51 points, to 7,000.06 points.

Share price of Next increased by 5.33 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. EasyJet, Marks & Spencer Group, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Tesco increased by 5.09 percent, 4.31 percent, 4.23 percent and 3.48 percent respectively.

Burberry Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.21 percent, following by Pearson (2.30 percent), Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.62 percent), Johnson Matthey (0.95 percent) and DCC (0.81 percent). Enditem
