The death toll from the attacks over the weekend by suspected Fulani Herdsmen on residents of Godogodo town in central north Nigeria's Kaduna State rose to 40 on Monday.
Solomon Musa, National President of Southern Kaduna Peoples' Union, told Xinhua in Kaduna that the locals have been able to identify 40 corpses. There are also several other corpses which are burnt beyond recognition. (Nigeria-Attack)

LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany -- An explosion at a facility of German chemical company BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany on Monday killed two people, seriously injured six others and left two more missing, the company said.

BRASILIA -- Clashes between rival gangs at two prisons in northern Brazil have left at least 18 inmates dead, local media reported on Monday.

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's President Abdu-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has officially agreed on Monday to a 72-hour ceasefire between the warring parties in the war-torn Arab country proposed by the United Nations.
