4 killed in car accident in California

Four people were killed and several others injured after a truck rolled off the Coronado Bridge into a crowd in a park in the U.S. city of San Diego, California, on Saturday afternoon.

San Diego police said the truck plummeted from the bridge, landing on a crowd gathering at Chicano Park below where a motorcycle festival took place.

A local rescue team said four people died at the scene while eight others were taken to the hospital. At least two, including the driver, suffered major injuries.

Police said more than 100 people were gathering at the park when the deadly crash occurred.
