Bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Slovenia have been traditionally good and friendly with no outstanding issues between the two countries, Bakir Izetbegovic, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, said here on Monday.

Izetbegovic made the comment during a meeting with Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec in Sarajevo. However, the two officials agreed that there is room for further development of economic cooperation.

Erjavec stressed readiness of Slovenia to continue to support BiH on its European path, where Slovenian experience can be of great benefit.

Before the meeting, Erjavec signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism and a joint statement on cooperation on third markets with BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic.

"Slovenia will continue to support BiH's European path. We are happy that we have had a successful role on BiH's path to EU membership, but the hardest work is still to come," said Erjavec.

Erjavec's two-day official visit to BiH is part of regular political dialogue between the two countries. Endit
