Nigeria to open training camp for African women championship

Nigeria will open its training camp this week for the preparation of the 10th African Women Championship holding next month in Cameroon, the Nigeria Football Federation said on Monday.

Head coach Florence Omagbemi has called up 30 players, including 22 domestic players and 8 overseas, for the championship in Abuja, the nation's capital, according to the local FA.

Asisat Oshola, the reigning African Woman Player of the Year, who plays for Arsenal Ladies in England, is among the eight foreign-based players invited to the Nigerian camp.

The African Women Championship will hold from Nov. 19 to December 3. Endit
