Spanish stock market rises 0.90 pct, closes at 8,701 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.90 percent on Monday to close at 8,701.50 points, up from the 8,624.30 points of Friday.

On Monday session, Repsol shares led rises climbing 3 percent, followed by Abertis A, ArcelorMittal, Inditex, Tecnicas Reunidas and Gas Natural that rose 2.96 percent, 2.88 percent, 1.87 percent, 1.82 percent and 1.62 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Caixabank shares led falls losing 1.30 percent, followed by Mediaset, IAG, Gamesa, Indra A and Banco Popular that lost 0.98 percent, 0.74 percent, 0.67 percent, 0.59 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 96.80 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.028 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday closing time. Endit
