One killed in explosion in Somalia's Mogadishu

Xinhua, October 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

At least one person was killed and three others were wounded when an explosive device fitted into a car exploded near Suqba'ad market, the second largest market in the restive capital of Mogadishu, officials said on Monday.

Abdifitah Halane, a local government spokesman, said security personnel arrested an Al-Shabaab suspect who was driving a vehicle which later exploded.

"We have launched investigations into the attack," Halane told reporters at the scene.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but Al-Shabaab conducted similar attacks, many of them in the capital. Endit
