Ghana's main opposition party unveils election manifesto

Xinhua, October 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ghana's main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) launched its manifesto for the 2016 general election at the Trade Fair Center in the capital Accra on Sunday.

The manifesto is based on the theme: "Agenda for Change, Jobs, Prosperity and Securing the Peace" and contains the solutions that the party proposes to help fix the problems facing Ghana if it wins back the presidential elections scheduled for December 7.

The party has listed seven major initiatives in the manifesto it plans to use to transform the Ghanaian economy, including details on how to resolve the unemployment problem among young Ghanaians.

The presidential candidate of the NPP Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo said his party is offering solutions that will take Ghanaians out of the crisis they find themselves.

Giving one of the highlights of the manifesto, a former Minister for Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen said the next NPP government will facilitate access to dedicated land spaces in every region for the establishment of multi-purpose industrial parks. Endit
