Two French police officers were set on fire by Molotov cocktails on Saturday in Viry-Chatillon, southern Paris, local media reported.

A group of young men hurled Molotov cocktails at two policemen on their car while they were keeping surveillance on a camera, which was installed in the main crossroads of the city to monitor gangs of traffickers, according to television channel BFMTV.

The two officers suffered serious burns, it said.

Last weekend, police clashed with young men who tried to destroy the camera, it added. Endit
