Dollar changes hands in upper 101 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 101 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, marginally higher than levels seen in New York overnight.

As markets opened, the dollar was quoted at 101.85-86 yen compared with 101.61-71 yen in New York and 101.38-41 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1208-1210 dollars and 114.17-18 yen against 1.1207-1217 dollars and 113.86-96 yen in New York and 1.1229-1230 dollars and 113.85-89 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
