German official says good job opportunities in handcraft for refugees

Xinhua, October 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

There are good job opportunities in area of handcraft and in small businesses for refugees in Germany, considering their skills brought from home countries, a senior executive from German largest service provider in labor market told local media on Monday.

There are relatively fewer domestic applicants for jobs in handcraft, and related small companies should better exploit potentials of refugees, said Raimund Becker, board member of Federal Employment Agency (BA) in Germany.

Big companies can also contribute in this regard. Becker cited Thyssenkrupp, a German conglomerate in steel industry which has created 200 internship positions for young refugees since last autumn, as an example.

BA offers a broad range of services on German labor and training market for citizens, companies and institutions. Endit
