British FTSE 100 rises 1.22 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday rises by 1.22 percent, or 84.19 points, to 6,983.52 points.

Share price of InterContinental Hotels Group and Travis Perkins increased by 3.11 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, London Stock Exchange Group and Schroders increased by 2.87 percent, 2.86 percent and 2.74 percent respectively.

ITV led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.82 percent, following by Marks & Spencer Group (1.54 percent), BT Group (1.02 percent), Legal & General Group (0.96 percent) and Next (0.69 percent). Endit
