The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Sunday.
-- The chancellors of 14 universities, including retired Constitutional Court Justice Dikgang Moseneke, have added their voice to the fees protests and called for the academic programme to resume as a solution is being sought on the standoff.
The list of chancellors, who are traditionally the ceremonial heads of universities, is dominated by some of the country's foremost luminaries including Supreme Court of Appeal Judge President Lex Mpati (Rhodes University), Judge President Bernard Ngoepe (University of South Africa), former finance minister Trevor Manuel (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) and ANC treasurer Dr Zweli Mkhize (University of KwaZulu-Natal).
