Zambian President Edgar Lungu on Thursday named nine more ministers, bringing to 25 the number of ministers appointed so far following his reelection last month.

Lungu reappointed Chishimba Kambwili as information, communication and broadcasting services minister while Given Lubinda, who was agriculture minister, has moved to the justice ministry.

Other new appointments include David Mabumba as Minister of Energy, Charles Banda as Minister of Tourism and Arts, Michael Katambo as Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, and Brian Mushimba as Minister of Transport.

Others who have retained their previous portfolios include Christopher Yaluma as Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Emerine Kabanshi as Minister for Community Development and Social Welfare, and Ronald Chitotela as Minister of Works and Supply.

Lungu has been making piecemeal announcements of his ministers since winning the Aug. 11 polls. The constitution allows him to appoint 30 ministers. Endit
