The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Zambia's investment agency said it was working on attracting investment in the processing of rubber in the country.

Zambia Development Agency director-general Patrick Chisanga said the country had abundant rubber plantation especially in Luapula Province, north of the country, where 140 hectares of plantation had matured and ready for tapping. (Times of Zambia)

-- The Turkish government has given scholarships to 27 Zambians to study in various disciplines in that country.

Turkish Ambassador to Zambia Ahmet Ardar said the students will major in various disciplines such as engineering and geology at various universities and colleges in post-graduate and under-graduate programs. (Daily Nation)

-- An academician in Zambia said it was unfortunate that greed and selfishness have caused the country's judiciary to become compromised.

The judiciary has come under attack over the way judges at the Constitutional Court handled the petition by the main opposition party which was challenging the presidential results.
