Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.6 percent, at 2,998.17 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index closed 0.81 percent higher at 10,476.97 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.84 percent to close at 2,140.8 points. Endi
