Garment and footwear sector, Cambodia's largest foreign currency earner, had reported a 8.3-percent increase in export in the first seven months of 2016, according to a report of the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft on Tuesday.

The Southeast Asian country had exported the products worth 3.88 billion U.S. dollars during the January-July period this year, up 8.3 percent from 3.58 billion U.S. dollars over the same period last year, the report said.

Main markets for the items are European countries, the United States, and Canada.
