Traffic collision kills 5 people, wounds 15 in N. Afghanistan

Xinhua, September 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

Five commuters perished and 15 others sustained injuries in a traffic collision in northern Afghanistan on Sunday, a local official said

The crash involved a car colliding with a bus coming from opposite direction in the northern Baghlan province with Pul-e-Khumri as its capital 160 km north of Kabul, according to the official.

"A passenger bus and a car collided on a road in Doshi district this morning, leaving five travelers dead and 15 others injured, some in critical conditions," district governor Shamsudin Sarhadi told Xinhua.

Without giving more details, the official blamed reckless driving on congested road for the deadly incident, saying an investigation has been initiated into the case. Enditem
