MiG-35 jets in talks to export: MiG Corporation

Xinhua, September 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Russian giant aircraft maker MiG is currently holding talks with several potential buyers of its MiG-35 jet fighter, a spokeswoman for the company said Friday.

"At the moment, MiG-29 is being used in 29 countries around the world. All of these countries, some more and some less so, are interested in buying MiG-35s to replace their old MiG-29 jet fighters. Now we are dealing with a number of potential customers for MiG-35s," Anastasia Kravchenko told local media.

However, she was reluctant to disclose the names of the countries in talks.

The Russian Mikoyan MiG-35 jet fighter is a further development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB fighters. Two of them will be given to the Russian Airforce for flight tests in November. Endi
