Singapore stocks close 0.38 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 10.89 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 2,856.95.

A total of 1.00 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 819.9 million Singapore dollars (603.3 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 188 to 184, while 532 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 4.68 points, or 0.16 percent, to close at 2,846.06 on Thursday. Endit
