Singapore stocks close 0.16 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 4.68 points, or 0.16 percent, to close at 2,846.06.

A total of 1.07 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 754.2 million Singapore dollars (556.7 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 199 to 148, while 555 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 3.95 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2,850.74 on Wednesday. Enditem
