Albania, Germany discuss ways to strengthen cooperation

Xinhua, September 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Head of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) Gent Beqiri met with German Ambassador to Albania Susanne Schutz on Wednesday to discuss ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

Sources from AIDA said Beqiri and Schutz discussed how to promote investment prospects in Albania, and create a favorable cooperative climate for business organizations in both countries and help them establish direct contacts.

Beqiri confirmed his agency's commitment to assist German companies currently operating in Albania and all potential investors seeking to invest in the country's strategic sectors, including tourism, agriculture, energy and infrastructure.

In addition to many leading German companies already operating in Albania, others are showing an increased interest in investing in the country, Beqiri said.

Albania and Germany have increased their economic and trade cooperation over the past years. The Albanian government has had a long and successful cooperation with Germany and the country welcomes German investors, Beqiri noted. Endi
