Spanish stock market rises 0.83 pct on Wednesday

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.83 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,758.50 points, up from the 8,686.10 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday's session, Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 9.12 percent, followed by Bankia, Banco Santander, BBVA, Banco Sabadell and Acerinox that rose 3.24 percent, 3.17 percent, 2.87 percent, 2.62 percent and 2.51 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, Enagas shares led falls losing 1.62 percent, followed by Inditex, Grifols, Melia, REC and Mediaset that lost 1.58 percent, 1.26 percent, 1.21 percent, 1.01 percent and 0.80 percent, respectively.

Spain's risk premium closed at 101.10 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.01 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with that of Tuesday. Endit
