The death toll of the capsized migrant boat near Egypt's northern coast rose to 30 while rescue efforts are still going on, official MENA news agency reported on Wednesday.

DAMASCUS -- A Syrian warplane was downed on Wednesday while striking Islamic State (IS) positions north of the capital Damascus, state news agency SANA reported.

The pilot was rescued, SANA said.

DHAKA -- At least 12 people have been killed and 18 still missing after a ferry capsized in the river of Sondha in Bangladesh's Barisal district, 169 km south of capital Dhaka, on Wednesday.

SEOUL -- The U.S. military on Wednesday sent two strategic bombers to South Korea in a show of force against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) over its latest nuclear test.
