Various national and international organizations have condemned the placement and explosion of bombs at nearly a dozen schools in Kathmandu valley on Tuesday.

Their concern comes following the bomb explosion at the entrance gate of three schools in capital early Tuesday morning while explosive and suspicious objects were recovered from more than a half dozen schools. (Nepal-Bombing)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday met with U.S. President Barack Obama, and they discussed the issues of climate change, the Syrian conflict and the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.

During the meeting, the secretary-general thanked the president for the strong and consistent support of the United States for the United Nations on many issues, in particular climate change, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters here. (UN-US-Climate Change)

ST. PETERSBURG -- The all-arms forces training exercise of Russia's Northern Fleet has begun on Tuesday.

The fleet press service reports that the exercise involves 12 warships, several nuclear and diesel submarines, ten support vessels, and five different types of aircraft. It will lass till the end of the week. (Russia-Northern Fleet-Drill)

MOSCOW -- Russian war planes in Syria did not conduct any strikes on the UN humanitarian convoy in Aleppo, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

"Neither Russian nor Syrian aviation carried out any airstrikes on the UN humanitarian convoy in the southwestern outskirts of Aleppo," Konashenkov said. (Russia-Syria-Strike)

BRUSSELS -- A total of 9,000 protesters paraded in the heart of Brussels around the European Union (EU) institutions to demonstrate against the bloc's trade deals with the United States and Canada late Tuesday, fearing those agreements would harm Europe's industries and social benefits.

Two meters-high inflatable Trojan horses, labeled "TTIP" and "CETA" respectively, were placed on a square between headquarters of the European Commission and the Council of the EU, implying the EU-U.S. Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with Canada were conspiratorial pacts.
