Nigeria calls 30 players for FIFA U20 women's World Cup

Xinhua, September 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nigeria on Tuesday called 30 players to tune up for the FIFA U20 women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea in November.

A statement by the Nigeria Football Association (NFF) said the coaching crew had asked all the invited players to arrive the training camp in Abuja before Sept. 27.

The coaching crew led by Peter Dedevbo has already submitted plans for the team's camping and the NFF is also fine-tuning its arrangements for the competition, the statement said.

Nigeria and Ghana will represent Africa to compete in the 8th U20 World Cup scheduled for Nov. 13-Dec. 3.

Nigeria, which won silver at the 2014 edition held in Canada, will play against Japan, Canada and Spain in the group stage. Enditem
