Laos, Vietnam boost information technology cooperation

Xinhua, September 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Laos and Vietnam have reached a series of deals on cooperation in telecommunications and information communication technology, Lao state-run daily Vientiane Times reported Tuesday.

A ceremony was held here Monday to witness the signing of the agreements between the two countries.

Exchanges will be conducted between the two countries with regard to e-government development, ICT application development, e-Service promotion and business opportunities.

The two countries will also continue close cooperation and mutual support in the framework of relevant regional and international organisations related to postal and ICT sectors.

Last year, the Lao National Internet Center and Vietnam Internet Network Information Center agreed to cooperate in Internet management, and provide scholarships for master's and doctoral degrees at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology in Vietnam. Endit
