Denmark car arsons spread from capital to small town

Car arsons that have plagued the Danish capital of Copenhagen since late August are seemingly spreading to other regions, local media reported on Monday.

An Audi car in a car park in Ringsted, a small town some 70 km southwest of Copenhagen, was set ablaze shortly before midnight on Monday, according to the Danish newspaper The Copenhagen Post.

The newspaper said a person was seen running away from the blaze, and the police are investigating the case as another arson attack.

Copenhagen has been plagued by vehicle arson attacks for several weeks, with more than 50 vehicles having been torched so far. Endit
