Federation of returned overseas Chinese to celebrate anniversary

The All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (AFROC) will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Oct. 5, said its spokesperson Monday.
Qiao Wei, the spokesperson of AFROC, told a press conference that over the past six decades the organization has made important contributions to the development and reform in China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
The AFROC will host a series of commemorative activities, including publishing photo books on its history, organizing tours for overseas Chinese, and hosting China tours and seminars for overseas Chinese lawyers.
The AFROC, founded in 1956, is tasked with promoting rights and interests of returned overseas Chinese, political consultation, and developing ties with overseas Chinese. Endi
