10th Sarajevo Half Marathon attracts record number of participants

The 10th Sarajevo Half Marathon organized by the Sarajevo Marathon association was held Sunday in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The first place in this year's half marathon was won by Hungarian runner Barnabas Bene, who ran the distance of 21.097 kilometers in one hour, nine minutes and 36 seconds. Another Hungarian runner came second, while the third place went to BiH runner Srdjan Samardzic.

Sladjana Perunovic from Montenegro won the women's race, ahead of Hungary's Tunda Szabo and BiH runner Danijela Kuna.

This year's half marathon, under the slogan "Half Marathon, Full experience", gathered a record number of about 2,500 runners from 30 countries and regions.

The Sarajevo Half Marathon also marked International Car-Free Day. Enditem
