Macao SAR, Yunnan mull cooperation

Xinhua, September 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

A delegation of national political advisors from Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), headed by former chief executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah, has discussed possible cooperation fields with officials in southwestern Yunnan Province.

The delegation of 40 members arrived in Kunming, capital of Yunnan, on Sunday, to begin a four-day visit.

Ho, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said Macao, which plans to become a global tourism and recreation center and a trade cooperation platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, is complementary with Yunnan Province in many fields.

Macao is willing to see the establishment of the southern Silk Road economic, tourism and cultural circle, which will help Macao expand development space, he said. Endi
