Nigeria's female U17 team tunes up for FIFA World Cup

Nigeria's female U17 soccer team is still tuning up for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Jordan, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said on its official website on Saturday.

The team, officially known as Flamingoes, is camping in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, and "set to take the world by storm" during the FIFA World Cup which is scheduled to hold from Sept. 30 to Oct. 21, the statement said.

As part of their build-up for the competition, the Flamingoes had played several friendly matches at home.

Drawn in Group C with Brazil, DPR Korea and England, the Nigerian team will leave for the competition on Sept. 26. Endit
