Macedonian prosecutors file two lawsuits against 21 senior officials for office abuse

Macedonian Special Public Prosecutor's Office told a press conference on Thursday that it has officially filed two lawsuits against 21 senior officials for office abuse.

Prosecutors said that one of the lawsuits is against seven people who are accused of illegally destroying documents from the wiretapping systems in the Administration for Security and Counterintelligence Directorate within the Macedonian Interior Ministry.

Prosecutor Fatime Fetai said that 2,074 official acts were destroyed.

The other lawsuit is against 14 persons who are accused of the violence against the head of center commune in Skopje, Andrej Zhernovski.

The 14 suspects for the criminal act of violence include five instigators and nine perpetrators.

The prosecutors said that the two lawsuits will be send to court through accelerated procedures. Endit
