British FTSE 100 rises 0.85 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.85 percent, or 56.99 points, to 6,730.30 points.

Share price of Wm Morrison Supermarkets increased by 7.49 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Tesco, Informa, RSA Insurance Group and Coca-Cola HBC increased by 4.92 percent, 4.90 percent, 4.22 percent and 3.85 percent respectively.

Hargreaves Lansdown led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.28 percent, following by Next (4.86 percent), Marks & Spencer Group (2.61 percent), Royal Bank of Scotland Group (1.62 percent) and Associated British Foods (1.20 percent). Endit
