Profile: Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski Godard will pay a visit to China between Sept. 12 and Sept 16.

The following is a brief profile of the Peruvian President.

Kuczynski was sworn in on July 28 after winning Peru's presidential race in June.

Between 2001 and 2006, he had worked as Peru's Minister of Economy and Finance, and President of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister)(2005-2006).

Kuczynski had been Peru's Minister of Energy and Mines from 1980 to 1982. In 1966, Kuczynski was the general manager of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.

He holds academic degrees from the Oxford University and Princeton University. He was born in October, 1938 in the Peruvian capital Lima. Endi
